The Western Marble Arch Synagogue is the community with a heart at the heart of London’s West End.
Welcome to the website of the Western Marble Arch Synagogue, a vibrant and caring community just a few steps from Oxford Street, Park Lane and Hyde Park in the centre of London. The synagogue is under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Lionel Rosenfeld and is the London seat of the Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks.
We hold familiar Ashkenazi Shabbat services with a superb Kiddush every week as well as a young professional's fortnightly Shabbat service, (Sephardic style). If you wish to attend our daily morning minyan, you will be assured of a good breakfast afterwards to set you on your way (and we always have an evening minyan too). We host regular social, cultural and educational events as well as stimulating shiurim and lecture courses. This is a great place to meet old friends and to make new ones. Whatever your age or needs may be, you will always receive the warmest of welcomes at Marble Arch.
New Committees
Please contact Linda Sharpe to join one of our new committees for the 35 to 50 year olds or the 50 to 65 year olds. This exciting new venture has been initiated by Linda Sharpe, Ruth Rouach and Frances Goldberg. We are looking for people to help organise either of these committees, or if you have ideas for events. Please contact Linda on 020 7289 1825 as soon as possible as we would like these groups up and running by Pesach.
Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser
You are invited to add your name to a condolence book at www.cicweb.ca/condolences which has been prepared for the Regev and Goldwasser families, and ask that you forward this link to your family and friends.
